Today I have sketched some bag sketches with a blue ballpoint pen. And I will explain why my sketches usually are quite messy.
The reason is very simple – I usually post only those called rough or initial sketches that are created for the first time and then used as a base for next sketches. The bag doodles below in the first image are messy and there are a lot of unnecessary lines. In the process of thinking I have sketched too many lines and created a mess.
The new sketchbook has really nice paper that is quite thick but at the same time is transparent enough to see sketches underneath. So, in the image below you can see a “cleaned” version of sketches above. Less lines and the contour is nice, solid. No “chicken scratches” or how I call it “dog hair”. To combine all sketches together I added a rectangular and colored it with a green pencil. Very simple, but clean.
This is the “secret” of my messy sketches. I will try to post the “edited” sketches more!
