Pencils are widely used in id sketching and there are many brands that offers them in all kind of colors and shapes.

A pencil is a writing implement or art medium usually constructed of a narrow, solid pigment core inside a protective casing. The case prevents the core from breaking, and also from marking the user’s hand during use.

We all have seen tea mugs and spoons that changes colors. It is always fascinating to observe how a color fades and then returns. That is why this weeks material is Thermobatch.

Basic information

A marker pen, marking pen, felt-tip pen, or marker, is a pen which has its own ink-source, and usually a tip made of a porous, pressed fibres; such as felt or nylon. There are five types of markers – Permanent marker, Non-permanent marker, Highlighters, Security marker, Election marker.

3M DI-NOC is a high end PVC film made to replace or enhance natural materials, such as woods, solids, stucco, sand, stone, leather, suede, weave, carbon, abstract, and metallic. Most of them have a textured surface to look and feel like the real material. These films are intended to cover all type of the surfaces – wall covering, furniture, fixture, ceiling, doors elevators, floor, exterior/interior applications. A combination of unique processing steps results in a wood grain appearance and texture that closely resemble authentic wood. Available in different patterns, varying from traditional wood to modern architectural designs.

This week’s material is called Wacotech ViewPan® PET. I have seen this material in stores where different plastics are sold but I didn’t know how it is called. That’s why I have decided to write about this material.
This material is decorative honeycomb composite panel with a unique in Germany patented PET core and PET faces. The core material of the panels ViewPan PET and ViewPan PMMA are honeycomb core wave from clear PET plastic combs with 18mm-wide cell.
